Welcome to the Liberty Lake Learning Center
My name is Joan Peters, owner of The Liberty Lake Learning Center. I have 30 years teaching experience with 21 years classroom experience. I began as a private piano teacher and taught music in private schools. This led to teaching very young children, school-age children, students with special needs, and at-risk students. I specialize in dyslexia, dysgraphia, visual and auditory processing disorders.
My educational background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching from USF, Early Childhood Education, Mainstreaming Students with Special Needs, RICA (Reading Instruction Competency Assessment), Phonographix, and Read 180. I have a BM in Piano Performance from USC's School of Music. I am Washington state certified.
